My good friend Martin recently told me of a new meditation for my “Ways to Alter Consciousness” blog. I tried it, and like it, so I will share it.

We all know that out of all of the ways to alter consciousness, meditation is one of the most powerful. It can put you into an altered and peaceful state. In this walking/staring meditation, designed to bring forth your creative juices toward a task, you begin by walking near the water or in nature. As you walk, you consciously feel yourself at one with the water, a leaf, a blade of grass, etc. etc.

If you come across a soda can or half eaten apple, just feel yourself at one with that. Avoid labels such as that’s good, that’s bad. That’s clean, that’s dirty. Just let those thoughts slip away and be at one with all of it.

After that you want to sit in a quiet place, preferably near the water. You want to feel every sensation, the sounds, the smells and the sights. Be in the moment and in the now and practice mindfulness. Let your peace come and reside in you.

When you feel a deep peace and oneness you can get up and make your way back to a place where there is a blank wall. It may be outside your house or inside- as long as it is peaceful and quiet. You will now need a recorder, sketch pad, or notebook and you will simply stare at the wall, not trying to do or be anything, and be ‘at one’ with it. Just as you were outside.

Soon the universe will begin to work through you. Write, record, or sketch. Don’t let your brain take over. If you feel your oneness slipping away, go back to staring and being at one with the wall.

I can tell you that this meditation is one of my powerful ways to alter consciousness in my work environment. If it does for you what it did for me, it will bring a new depth to your work, and a new sense of joy in the creation.

I hope you will too.

How can you alter what you believe when the experiences you have had has convinced you otherwise? The simple answer to that is to design a new experience. The best way for you to achieve that new experience is to meditate about how you can fix the way you respond to what happens. The new reaction will make new benefits, which you will then experience as a new reality.

To reach your goal of happiness, you have to behave as though the following statement is true: Everything that happens to me is the best thing that can happen to me. Meditating to help turn a bad situation into something good can be as simple as: 1+ 1 = 2. Acting as though what happens to you is the best thing that can happen to you plus the new benefits just equal happiness in your life.

When you are convinced of the truth that everything that happens is the best thing that can happen, life will Begin to be much more fun. It is like opening a new channel to happiness. All you need to know when meditating is happiness is there, waiting just for you. All you need to do is follow the method that makes it possible. You have to remember also that unhappiness is also out there, waiting just for you.

The way you respond through meditation will determine which one you will be dealing with in your life. It is not necessary to have all the ingredients of a procedure in hand at the outset. They will arrive at the appointed time. It’s only important that you move forward with the project that you have started until that appointed time shows up. With the energy you design through meditation by progressing as if you had the finances to start your journey, you actually put into motion a start of events that will lead you to your success.

Your actions make an energy that pulls in the mandatory ingredients of your journey you have ventured into. All that you need for your venture is, in actuality, already out there, waiting for you. You just need to pull in what is requested. There is really nothing more to all of this except for you not forgetting to keep an open mind and find that peace that is hidden deep within you.

The results that occur with meditation that cause you to feel happiness, which then proves to you that this is how things really do function-and this leads you to soon believe that all does indeed happen for your benefit. When you see that is true, that is when the deep sighs of relief will come and that meditation can definitely help you see the light.

The internet is a really great place to discover all of the information that you would need about meditation, in case you have an interest in learning more about it for your own benefits. It is essential for you to at least contemplate doing since it will relieve you from an over abundance of stress circulating throughout your life each and everyday. Try using meditation as often as you can since you are really going to benefit from it.

Relaxation techniques are a great way to help your pursuit to reduce stress. Relaxation isn’t just about peace of mind or enjoying a hobby. Relaxation is a process that decreases the wear and tear of life’s challenges on your mind and body. Whether you have a lot of stress in your life or you’ve got it under control, you can profit from learning relaxation techniques. Learning basic meditation relaxation techniques isn’t hard.

Play around with these fundamental relaxation techniques to get you started on removing the stress from your life and improving your health. There are lots of sources of anxiety in the world now days. As the old saying goes, “there’s no need to look for problems, because problems will find you all on their own”. All of us have troubles and worries, along with all these difficulties, few of us even have time to kick back and relax. Do you endure a lot of anxiety and hope to ease the anxious moods you have and feel relaxed for a while?

There are a number of relaxations techniques you have that take very little time and are highly effective which you can do anywhere even at work. If I were to find a perfect relaxation technique I would like to make a huge profit sharing with others. In this, there are a lot of great ideas, and these ideas are in print in a variety of places but it looks as if no ones got the gold. I can see that the people around me appear to be more and more stressed as time goes along. More people tried several relaxation techniques but they only find nothing work for them.

There are several different things you can try, but you may have to search for some time before you find something that fits your needs. Practicing breathing can have therapeutic effects, and with enough practice, can become your regular way of breathing. To breathe with the diaphragm, one must pull air into the lungs in a way which will extend the stomach and not the chest.

It is best to perform these breaths as long, slower intakes of air - allowing the body to take in all of the drawn in oxygen while at the same time relaxing the breather. To do this with ease, it is most effective to loosen tight-fitting pants, belts, skirts as these can interfere with the body’s ability to intake air. The old-fashioned remedy of breathing deeply into a brown paper baggy works extremely well to relax you and restore proper breathing. Another method of this relaxation technique includes taking slow deep breaths. In the beginning you may find you need to force yourself to breathe slowly, but do not give up and you’ll soon be back to normal.

And keep in mind that some people, mainly those with significant psychological issues and a history of neglect, may have feelings of emotional unease in the course of relaxation exercises. Although this is not common, if you experience emotional unease in the course of relaxation exercises, discontinue what you’re doing and consider talking to your health care professional. Some relaxation techniques will reduce stress for some people, while some will leave some feeling cold. Write down all of your ideas and proceed through your list one at a time. This may help you find relaxation techniques that work best for you and your lifestyle.

by Brian T. Willie

The paranoia and suspicion of a person with Alzheimer’s can be one of the most difficult behaviors for their caregiver to handle. As the Alzheimer’s develops and targets your loved ones memory, they’ll gradually become more confused and perceive things they would have once though normal, in new ways.

This is not only due to their inability to remember certain people, but also places and things, and the fact that they can’t remember themselves as well.

People with Alzheimer’s will often confront their loved ones, accusing them of theft, improper behavior or even infidelity. Many times they’re getting their feelings from ones they’ve had in the past from different people or different times.

An Alzheimer’s patient confuses people, events and times and can associate an event with the wrong person. For example, maybe their ex-husband had an affair so now they believe their current spouse is doing the same.

So what’s the best way to deal with all of this? The key is to meet their paranoid behavior head on with pure patience and understanding. Just know that this is going to occur, and take a deep breath. You may be offended by their paranoia, but it’s not personal.

They are confused and hurt. Listen to them and just try to understand what they are feeling. Don’t argue or convince them they are wrong. Just let them know you love them and you are sorry they feel that way. Let them express their ideas, but always keep your responses short and easy to understand.

To take their mind off of their suspicions, suggest another activity and focus on keeping them occupied. Ask them for help with a chore, play a game you know they’ll enjoy or make a meal together. To avoid their suspicions in the future, buy your loved one two of each item they value and often lose.

For instance, if they tend to lose their handbag or wallet, buy two that are exactly the same so that they won’t be suspicious that you stole it. Paranoia and suspicion will often pass, but it’s important to keep your cool and remain understanding. The more worked up your loved one gets the more paranoid they become.

by Jen Hopkins

It’s a little-recognized fact; about three quarters of the human race is vain in some way, shape, or form. I am often a little vain myself; though there is a difference between being disgustingly vain and trying to take care of your body properly. One constant war humans fight is against wrinkles. In this article, we’ll contemplate what products whether natural or factory-based can actually help reduce one’s wrinkles and products that are just talk, while attempting to answer an everyday question from everywhere across Earth… do wrinkle creams actually work?

Before diving into the networks of reputed ‘miracle’ wrinkle products and such, it could be seen as useful to list a few avoidable factors that lead toward even more recognizable wrinkles later on in life. Major factors include lots of sun exposure, dehydration, smoking, and drugs, the main problem being dehydration. I recommend using skin-moisturizing creams and such in place of alcohol-based aftershaves or lotions, which result in the mentioned above and cause skin damage… which will result in you-know-what.

This prevention is always the best cure; if nothing else, it will help one to age gracefully. By wearing strong sunblock, not smoking, and using moisturizing creams, one can reduce or halt eventual wrinkles (while also taking better care of your entire body, too). Remember; no amount of this work can completely stop wrinkles, as wrinkles are a mere factor of age so people rely on wrinkle creams to retain youthful appearances.

One popular agent of anti-wrinkle creams is that often, creams manage to pull your skin a bit more taut over your skull and muscles and lend it more support. This is accomplished through products that add moisture to your skin. However, as much as you might think so, these wrinkle creams (or as many market them \”Anti-aging cream,\”) are not as miraculous as they’re made out to be, most of the time. Truly, wrinkle creams that add moisture can normally lead to a 10% decrease in depth of the creases, which is quite significant, but will not leave a 50-year old person looking like a 20 to 30 year old.

A helpful association to contact for some advice on finding a good wrinkle cream or other anti-aging product is the American Anti-Aging association. This is more of a private, underground group that looks at and experiments with many common creams and rates them. It would also be equally useful to look at a variety of reviews or search internet sites, magazines, and other things to find a useful cream.

Anti wrinkle cream does work for a number of reasons. The first is that it positively improves the quality of skin by adding moisture, primarily through the use of retinol. Retinol is a variant of vitamin A that is fat-soluble, and is known for it’s rejeuvenative properties.

Retinol is contained in a number of natural ingredients such as various foods. One could get at retinol by eating eggs, liver, spinach and carrots. The benefit of a cream containing retinol, rather than ingesting it is simple. If you apply the cream directly to the face, the retinol gets directly to the area you want it to be. This means none of the precious material is wasted in the metabolism.

The question approached at the beginning pondered, \”Do wrinkle creams really work?\” We have come to a conclusive answer of ‘yes’ wrinkle creams do work to some degree, depending on how you consider it. Using wrinkle creams, combined with some long-term, preventative protection, can work miracles for your skin and shed years of age off your facial appearance.

Women, and even men of a certain age are constantly looking for a magic bullet when it comes to anti ageing skin care. In fact, women in the UK are spending around 100 million per year, trying to look younger using anti aging cream as a non surgical facelift. The real problem is, that by the time they become of a certain age, they are always playing catch up. You have to start when you are young. Are you listening teenagers and twentysomethings?

The sun, although beneficial to health, is one of the biggest causes of skin ageing. People tend to be quite good at putting on high factor sun screen when they are on the beach but this is not the full story. When the sky is blue, you are mainly protecting yourself from the UV-A rays but it is when the sky is cloudy that the damage is done because the clouds filter out the UV-A rays but cannot filter the UV-B rays which are the real villains and are a major cause for skin ageing. You will realise that these are affecting you every time you go out doors every day of the year.

UV-B is hitting you as you walk from your house to the station, from the station to work and back again. It is there when you go for your lunch. This means that your first weapon to anti aging is sun blocker, all the time. Use it on your face hands and neck at all times possibly as a substitute for moisturiser cream.

You will have seen countless advertisements for anti ageing skin care products on the television and in magazines, many featuring actors in white coats pretending to work in a hi-tech laboratory setting to give the impression that your cream is the latest in scientific discovery. It also will be trying to convey a sense that these preparations have been thoroughly tested, are safe to use and are extremely effective.

Many of the active ingredients being touted as ‘new’ or ‘breakthrough’ are really chemicals that have been known and used for years for other different conditions, usually in pharmacological circumstances. Because they have this history of use without nasty side effects, cosmetic manufacturers explore some of the other possibilities to the chemicals. As long as they can determine some minor improvement in a few guinea pig people, it is rushed out as the latest thing to combat ageing skin.

For example, one ingredient, Retinol, is another name for vitamin A. It is used as a skin preparation but in order to be effective it has to be used at quite a high strength and can only be obtained with a doctors prescription. The level of Retinol found in over the counter skin cream will have little or no effect although, as with all these preparations, individuals may derive some benefit through using them. You may well be better off spending your money on foods rich in vitamin A, such as leafy vegetables, certain fruit or liver.

One problem that is rarely mentioned is the time factor. Many of these active ingredients are unstable. That is, they degrade when in contact with the air or moisture or both. As soon as they are manufactured, the air begins to degrade the efficacy of the substances. There are no date stamps on the packaging so you don’t know how long it has been since your product has been made, which means you don’t know how long the product has been sitting on the shelf. After you buy your product, once you have opened it, the process of degradation is accelerated so you should take great care in the storage and don’t leave it hanging around or it turns into a very expensive cold cream.

The one thing these anti ageing skin care creams will have in common is that they all contain a moisturiser which is a very basic thing that can be bought quite cheaply. This will, to a minor extent, put water back into the skin but it will also act as a barrier to stop moisture leaving the skin. The rest of the expensive additives are going to be a question of hit and miss. Of all the chemicals added, very few have hard scientifically proven pedigrees because they are considered cosmetic not pharmaceutical and the levels of research are nowhere near as stringent. Your friend may find one that really works for her but it may not work for you so it is really a question of experimentation until you find one that can work for you. Another even cheaper alternative for a non surgical facelift cream, is to make your own. It is not as hard as you think and you are guaranteed that your ingredients are freshly prepared so are at their maximum potency so that you will see the benefits even sooner. It could be that you discover a new formula and become the next Elizabeth Arden.

by Dick Ingersoll

“Allowing,” in relation to the Law of Attraction is a tough thing to describe because it’s a state of being, rather than a state of doing. It’s a process of releasing any effort to control what occurs around you and instead allowing the cosmos to work on your behalf.

Remaining in a state of allowance can be trying for some people since they are so used to taking action in order to obtain what they want. Allowing your heart’s desires may seem contrary to this approach, but it’s honestly just a matter of taking varying actions and choosing the right mind-set.

In the Following you will find some simple steps to help you flow easily into a state of allowing.

Sit in silence.

Meditation is the fastest and simplest way to get into a state of allowance since it places you immediately into the process of observing and being, rather than doing. As you center on releasing fear and anxiety, you invite a flood of inner peace and acceptance in to replace them. This mind-set removes blockages and eliminates resistance, which leaves only . . . allowance!

Do what you love as often as possible.

Allowing is not just about getting what you want, but rather figuring out how to open up to the natural flow of joy, passion and abundance that is open to you at all times. When you do what you love, you automatically draw a flood of positive energy into your life. Yes, this can absolutely help you attract something you want, but it also sets you up to receive a lot more than you asked for. Rather than just gaining one thing you desired, you find yourself in a constant state of astonishment and joy as more and more great things come your way.

Think positively.

This should be a no-brainer, because the majority of us are completely aware of the rewards of positive thinking. However, don’t restrict your positive thinking in relation to your immediate goal only! Learn to construct a true positive thinking habit, and spread it evenly through your entire life. Think positively, speak positively and act positively as often as possible. You’ll be happier, increase the frequency of your energy and remain in a constant state of allowance.

Have unwavering faith.

Many of us tend to flip-flop between extreme faith and crushing doubt. Our faith is sturdy when everything is going well but the instant we run into obstacles, doubt knocks us out of kilter. The real test of faith is being able to hold it while in the midst of difficulty! It may not be easy, but don’t forget that having faith is a choice. You can choose to trust in and know that everything will be fine, or you can choose to think it won’t. When difficulties come knocking on your door, choose your mind-set carefully.

Detach completely.

Most of us tend to revert back to childish antics when we want something. We assume if we can just nag the universe to death, it will give in and give us what we want. So we continue meditating and praying and visualizing. We spend hours mentally begging for what we want, and fixate on it constantly. This is not allowing - it is clinging and grasping! The universe heard your request the first time, so there is no need to continue asking. Instead, tell yourself that time may be needed before it will show up, or it’s also possible that you won’t get what you requested - but you may get something much better!

Be open to whatever comes your way, knowing with all of your heart that it will be absolutely perfect in all ways.

by Dick Ingersoll

When you begin working with the Law of Attraction more proactively, you may wonder whether you need to take physical action in addition to your mental and emotional exercises. The answer to this will vary depending upon who you ask.

There are people who claim that no action is needed; just directing the right frequency of thought and emotion toward a much wanted target is enough. Then there are those who think that action is always required, because action is the vehicle through which all desires are manifested.

In my experience, it can undoubtedly work either way. Depending on the situation, you may or may not find yourself needing to take certain measures toward your goals.

Here is an uncomplicated process to help you know for sure:

Take care of the intimate work first. Focus on getting your thoughts, emotions, beliefs and expectations centered with what you want. Don’t worry about “how” it’s going to happen, just focus on putting forth the right frequency of energy to attract it. You can do this by meditating, imagining, affirming, and making a vision board, and so on.

Completely let go. Once you are in alignment with your yearnings, turn it over to the cosmos. Don’t fret about whether it will arrive, or put yourself in a panic trying to come up with a plan. Take a step back from it and let it build for a little while. The amount of time is up to you, but I recommend no less than a week or two.

Tune into your sixth-sense. During this release period, turn your attention inward frequently. Tune into your intuition and ask if there is anything you can do to bring this yearning into your life. You may or may not obtain any insights about it. If you do get a hunch or nudge to do something specific, by all means do it. If not, constantly keep on the lookout for any opportunities that might show up later. Don’t try to force or speed the process along, because you’ll probably end up causing more interruptions. These things have a way of arriving at exactly the right time, regardless of how we try to mess it up!

The fact is there is no right way or wrong way to use the Law of Attraction. Interestingly, the way it works usually seems to correlate with your beliefs.

If you think you have to take action to attract your desires, guess what? You’ll probably have to take some kind of action. As well, if you think that you do not necessarily have to take action, the universe will find a way to present you with your desires without any extra exertion on your part.

However, there are occasions when you will be prompted to take action even if you initially didn’t believe you’d have to do so. When this happens, simply follow where your heart leads. The actions you are advised to take will ALWAYS be in your best interest, and they’ll typically be quite enjoyable! Discover how to trust your intuition for assistance anytime you want to attract something, and you will be shown the way to get it as fast and easily as possible - whatever that may involve.

Adjusting to any kind of change in your life can be very stressful. The one thing I have realized is when it comes to any kind of change is to keep it on an optimistic level. To do that I stay calm by meditating and keep it all in focus. I was discussing with a friend about how I was very hesitant about a change I would soon have to make in my life. My friend told me that almost over twenty years ago she had bought a brand new car and it was parked in an alley next to her house.

She exited her house just at that moment she saw an old VW bus scrape the front fender of her car. As she continued to tell me what occurred she informed me she was trying to stay calm and realized she had to meditate and get centered on the situation. She went on to tell me that the driver stepped out of his car, threw his hat on the ground, and then hung his head, holding it in his hands. She realized that he clearly didn’t have the money to pay for the damage to her car and he almost started to cry.

My friend still meditating to keep things in perspective approached the man and you could tell he was very anxious and expected her to say something like: What an idiot, Can you not see, or just something so mean that he would just feel terrible. As she approached the man she simply said don’t worry about the scrape and to have a nice day. He could not believe what he was hearing. He began to cry tears of happiness and wrapped his arms around my friend. He then ran to his wife who was in the car wondering what they were going to do and he wrapped his arms around his wife and introduced her to my friend.

As they were chatting my friend told them how she used meditation to remain as relaxed as possible because she had short fuse in the past that caused her a lot of problems. The couple and my friend became very close friends. Now it is 20 years later and the man has since passed away and his wife is in assisted living my friend still visits the woman every week and still discusses the day they had met.

Using meditation will certainly help you think about the situation you are in and to not act on a whim, but to deal with whatever predicament it is you are in so you will behave properly. After my friend and I talked I considered how I could adapt to the change I would have to make by optimistic thinking and could make a bad situation into something that will have a very special meaning in my life. After our conversation I went home and began using meditation to relax myself and now I feel more positive about me and my life.

In today’s busy society, the pace of life seems to increase at a never-ending rate. Life is so rushed that we seldom get the chance to make a considered response to the situations that constantly bombard us. Time and again, rather than thoughtfully considering our actions and reactions, we make rush decisions.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. All of us have to loosen up occasionally and unwind. Otherwise, stress levels will climb and impact how you handle the people around you, not just at work but in your own home.

The use of meditation is a means for you to relax for a while and allow your mind to focus until you settle down sufficiently to cope with the everyday demands of life.

Indeed, if you believe that your life is too stressful, you should definitely slow things down. Your head is in all probability overloaded with too many worries and cares. Meditation can help you relax and ease your stress.

The benefits of meditation have been experienced ever since it was first practiced many thousands of years ago. These include:

1. Stress reduction: Because meditation calms your mind and relaxes your body, it relieves your tension and stress. This is accomplished by the breathing exercises that are a component of the practice. Lowering your stress levels is among the primary reasons that you should engage in meditation.

2. Numerous health benefits: Research studies show that meditation can assist in healing disease. A major study conducted in 1976 by Australian psychiatrist Ainslie Meares, which was released in the Medical Journal of Australia, demonstrated the regression of cancer after a patient regularly practiced meditation. Meditation is also known to reduce hypertension, which is a plus for individuals who are at risk of high blood pressure and heart disease.

3. Better concentration: One form of meditation calls for concentrating on a specific object like a lit candle or reciting a mantra. Activities like these have been demonstrated to enhance concentration and focus.

4. Acceptance: Another benefit of meditation is the enhanced capacity to accept things as they are. This helps considerably in managing your annoyance and dissatisfaction over events and situations over which you have no control. Those who are dealing with anger management issues will most certainly see the benefits of meditation.

So the next time you feel stressed out, try to calm yourself down by practicing meditation. While your problems won’t go away, you can at least become mentally prepared to face them.

There are many things in life worrying about, but stress should not be one of them. Stress is like disease which sucks the fun out of everything. Stress cause sleep deprivation, lose interest in activities you once found entertaining, and stress can also cause your work performance to suffer.

Stress, many people think of this as a “dirty word” and some think of it as an excuse to act poorly. Stress can be caused by many things, financial problems, marital problems or it could be caused from a happy event such as a wedding, children or going on vacation. Stress is about perception. What is stressful for one may not be for another. Many times we blow things out of proportion and therefore causing more un-necessary stress in our lives. Stress does not have to be caused from something bad in ones life. However stress, whether good or bad can lead to other very serious problems.

Stress has been linked to medical problems such as chronic headaches, age acceleration, lower immune system, heart attacks, and stomach problems, just to name a few. Many people under stress are also short tempered, grouchy, anxious and jumpy.

By learning to manage stress, you will find that you look forward to meeting new people, regain your sense of humor and self confidence. You will also find yourself feeling more relaxed, calmer, and have increased energy. You may even allow yourself to enjoy recreational activities and have more independence.

It is time for you to take a look at how stress is affecting your life. You know how your mind and body react to stress. Some have a rapid heart rate, become sweaty, or feel nervous. You know what causes stress in your life, maybe it is your children, money or simply your job.

Some people manage stress through medications, a counselor and others turn to hypnosis. Since there are so many different treatments and options for stress management, it is important to research all aspects of the treatments to decide what is right for you.

Hypnosis can help with stress management through many avenues. It allows you to change your response to stress and help address what triggers stress in your mind. You will find you are calmer, relaxed and more rational. Your body will be more relaxed, your breathing more steady which will calm your mind. All of this will help fight tension from stress which can cause chronic medical problems. It will also allow you to address the behaviors you have while experiencing stress such as anger or frustration and help you to remain calm in these situations.

Stress has been and will always be a fixture I our society, chances are you will always have stress in your life but it does not have to rule your life. There are options out there and it is up to you to make the best decision for you and your lifestyle. Stress is not good for you, your family or friends. The time has come for you to end the stress cycle.

It takes mental toughness and patience to discuss yoga in this century. This ancient concept has somehow lost its real meaning through globalization. It is amazing to see the whole philosophy fueling yoga’s methodology being reduced to a simple concept, justified by the need to make it easy for the layperson to understand. The complex nature of its contents may be a little challenging for westerners to understand.

In order to be viewed as a person of wisdom, some people who have been exposed to this ancient art have invested their time to learn a little more, only to gain a superficial understanding of the real essence of yoga and then proceed to talk about it as though they are the recognized experts. Yoga is mainly perceived as a physical activity in the western part of the world. Yoga has been reduced to a physical activity that focuses merely on achieving internal balance and meditation.

It originates from the Hindu religion and it is actually a part of the Hindu philosophy. Yoga as a part of India’s diverse culture and philosophy is actually a spiritual experience that includes some complicated physical moves. But the western world prefers to refer yoga as a mere physical practice. Yoga, with its strange looking symbols may seem mystical to the average Joe, but sadly, they are often misunderstood. This discipline is practiced as a popular sport. Additionally, people who desire inner tranquility would often find this practice to be beneficial and of course a lot of people have been attracted to yoga as a form of practice to achieve inner peace.

Disciples of yoga are often fascinated by the claims made by their yoga instructors. There is plenty of evidence to show that yoga has been wrongly implemented in the West. Different groups practicing yoga have its own cultural structure and these influences are responsible for those fatal errors detected in the practice of this ancient art. The fast paced lifestyle of the western civilization left no chance for them to indulge in quiet, introspective moments to really understand this concept.

While meditation is an integral part of the practice, the westerners with their ever busy lifestyles certainly do not posses time for such luxuries. The greed for power and material wealth which is integral in the western culture has no place in the Hindu culture. Perhaps the western man shall never reach the peaks of wisdom according to the parameters set by the Hindu religion and culture. Patience and time is crucial for meditation. The westerners do not view investment in such contemplative moments for the attainment of philosophical wisdom to be beneficial. It places high degree of importance in the mere acquisition of wealth and power.

Ironically, yoga has been implemented as fashion in the western part of the world. There is a lot of information going out promoting yoga as a form of sport. Fans of famous people who later become fake gurus are adamant about supporting their idol and his practice. The growing influence of this unhealthy philosophy is attributed to the disciples who are loyal in spreading the word about the advantages of adopting this crooked form of yogic philosophy.

There is only one way to achieve happiness. The means is to simply be happy. You are probably thinking right now, how do I achieve happiness?” “Things just don’t work like that, it doesn’t take into consideration the times that I am wretchedly unhappy because of difficulties or mishaps that arise in my everyday life, not to mention the tragedies.” At this stage I have to stop and meditate. Meditation can be done several different ways, just find the one that works best for your purposes.

Being happy more often than you have been is an extremely difficult task to accomplish-not in the doing of it once you know how and then in keeping conscious of what you have learned. Yet, I still say that with meditation it can be accomplished. The path that you have chose that brought you to your current situation was not a few days or months in the making, but a long and arduous path that has spanned through many years.

In reality it has taken you as long as you have been alive to become how you are today. It has also taken you that long to gain what you have achieved, to acquire, and to land at your current condition. By taking the time to meditate and contemplate who you are, and whether what you have in your life is truly what you want, If you are 100% satisfied with the way your life is going, congratulations-continue to do what you have been doing and you will get more of what you already have in your life.

But if who you are, what you have, and your current conditions are less than what you want or perhaps vary from what you long for, you have to start meditating about some fundamental alterations you will need to make in your life. Failure to make those alterations will find you continuing to seek the things you really would like in your life as the years fly past.

Because some of this that you are reading will seem out of reach, preposterous, or to you maybe even irrational and it may at first offend you, causing you to ridicule what you are reading and maybe even make you feel you need to reject what you have read. I really want to suggest to you that prior to rejecting how meditation can assist you through your life, ask yourself whether or not you want it to be true-then for your benefit please give yourself the chance to see it as true.

In this day and age with all the things we have to deal with in our lives it is very hard to stay on an upbeat level and be happy all the time, But just by taking a few moments a day just meditating by yourself will help you to put things in perspective where instead of being unhappy about the situation you are in, you can find a way to find the happy part of being unhappy.

by Dick Ingersoll

When you start out working with the Law of Attraction more proactively, you may question whether you have to take physical action as well as your mental and emotional exercises. The answer to this will vary depending upon who you ask.

There are those who claim that no action is needed; just directing the right frequency of thought and emotion toward a desired outcome is enough. Then there are those who believe that action is always required, because action is the medium through which all wants are manifested.

In my experience, it can undoubtedly work either way. Depending on the situation, you may or may not find yourself needing to take certain measures toward your goals.

Here is an uncomplicated process to help you know for sure:

Take care of the intimate work first. Focus on getting your thoughts, emotions, beliefs and expectations into complete alignment with what you want. Don’t worry about “how” it’s going to happen, just focus on exerting the right frequency of energy to attract it. You can do this by meditating, imagining, establishing, and making a vision board, and so on.

Tune into your intuition. During this release period, turn your attention inward regularly. Tap into your intuition and find out if there is something you can do to bring this yearning into your life. You may or may not receive any insights about it. If you do feel a hunch or nudge to do something specific, by all means go for it. If not, simply pay attention for any opportunities that might appear later. Don’t try to force or hurry the process along, because you’ll most likely end up causing more interruptions. These things have a tendency of appearing at exactly the right time, no matter how we try to interfere!

The truth is there is no right way or wrong way to use the Law of Attraction. Interestingly, the way it works often seems to correspond with your beliefs.

If you think you have to take action to attract your desires, guess what? You’ll probably have to take some kind of action. As well, if you think that you do not necessarily have to take action, the universe will find a way to present you with your desires without any extra exertion on your part.

However, there are instances when you will be prompted to take action even if you originally didn’t believe you’d have to do so. When this occurs, simply follow where your heart takes you. The actions you are urged to take will ALWAYS be in your best interest, and they will usually be quite enjoyable! Discover how to trust your intuition for assistance whenever you want to attract something, and you will be guided on how to get it as fast and easily as possible - whatever that may involve.

The Sanskrit word Yoga means Union, an entryway to balancing the spiritual, mental and physical aspects of the being. It has the distinction of being the oldest personal development technique known. Practiced for almost 5000 years, the body is gradually conditioned by emphasizing the strengthening of the mind and body, at the same time stimulating the soul - it is both a science and a philosophy.

A Yogi is a male Yoga practitioner and Yogini is a female practitioner. Indian philosophy has six orthodox systems, of which this is one and is considered an applied science of the body and the mind. Comprehending the philosophy of it is a lifetime pursuit and it is just not about squatting in lotus position and chanting.

Practicing Yoga is one of the most effective ways of handling stress and it also effective in treating back problems that result due to postural defects. Complementary therapies make people feel good and this gives enough cause to cancer patients to resort to these methods. According to many who know, the best time to practice it is during the morning right before your breakfast.

Overall, there are several different styles of this particular ancient holistic system - a couple of them are listed below: Raja Yoga: The chief component of this style is meditation. Raja yoga which is one of the four main paths of yoga provides aids to control one’s mind, body, energy and senses.

Kundalini Yoga: The main component here comprises of the kriyas which are special set of exercises that promise instant results and these are very safe and non-stressful to practice. Hatha Yoga: the main components here are postures (asana) and breath control (pranayama).

Sahaja Yoga is another very unique meditation method that is based on the actual experience of self realization which can occur within each and every human being. The precision of therapeutic yoga and the foundations of traditional yoga come together in a heated room under the system of Moksha hot yoga.

Yoga is getting famous nowadays and is being practiced by both the young as well as the old people as it is good for people of all ages. Its growth and popularity as a form of exercise is due to the fact that here nothing is done to you, it is something you do to yourself. This is beneficial for pregnant women as it helps to make them more patient and increases elasticity.

Among soldiers this practice is fast gaining popularity as they can improve their stamina, mental focus and flexibility. This was reported by Fit Yoga as well as the Associated Press. The practice should not only be taken as an exercise but should also be accepted as a method to develop happiness and harmony from within.

AUM meditation is a social meditation that is performed in groups and which teaches you to be in full control of your emotions through being able to express various states of mind that moves from one polarity to another. The basis of all AUM meditation is that you need to rid yourself of tension as well as stress and to also follow the twelve stages in which you go from active to interactive meditation. Thus, you will need to go through stages in which you will experience different emotional expression, perform dances and even bio-energetic exercises as well as many other things till you attain complete silence within you, and will have achieved openness and love in your heart.

Many Benefits

Through AUM meditation, you get a wonderful opportunity to breathe new live into old friendships while also making new ones and you will enjoy the energy it gives you as you are able to do away with stress and tension and become more aware of your own power as well as vitality. In fact, through AUM meditation, you can also heal your old wounds and it is also very healthy as far as your mind, body and spirit are concerned, while it also gives you a renewed taste for life as you feel warmer and more relaxed, and become ready for love as well as celebration.

Of course, AUM meditation is also very intensive and thus can only be taught by people that have been specially trained in this form of meditation who can lead you through the various stages that begin from Return to Hell, moves on to Heaven and then on through about nine other stages till you reach the final stage that is known as Namaste and Hugging.

AUM meditation is really a therapeutic and spiritual event that causes the heart chakra to open and it helps in cleansing out as well as transforming the feelings and makes a person think more clearly and become more self confident, and brings fellow meditators closer to one another, while also transforming stress into creativity as well as painful feelings into love and friendship. It is also a technique of social meditation that is run in a group and it shows you how to deal with others and also makes participants mirror fellow participants’ actions. Thus, there is a transformation from the negative side to the positive side and from hatred into love which makes you realize and also recognize what freedom truly is and what love really is.

by Anne Woodland

We all experience pain for a reason but on many occasions it is a warning for us to discontinue something we are doing. Pain can come from any type of injury, illness or condition but it is then our job to locate where the pain is originating from to stop it. Sometimes, however, pain isn’t dealt with so easily and it remains with us despite all efforts to banish it.

Many of us have experienced this to a degree when we suffer a headache or a migraine but it also refers to conditions like arthritis and back pain. There are very few preventative action you can take to stop chronic pain and it can affect someone at anytime during their life from almost any situation from accident, injury or disease. It is also true to say that many people that suffer with chronic pain no longer have the condition which caused the problem as it has long since been cured but the pain persists, blighting their lives and gradually getting worse.

The problem with prescription medication is that it is easy to become dependent and as time progresses the drugs become less effective but the dependence remains; or there are serious side effects to be considered and many are now turning towards natural pain relief treatments as long term alternatives. Although there are a number of natural pain relief systems in use, probably the most often used is acupuncture especially by those who unfortunately suffer with chronic pain. The Chinese use acupuncture to treat and cure many ailments by inserting long very thin needles into the skin.

Patients claim acupuncture has proven effective in treating ailments such as neck pain, migraine headaches, arthritic pain, and even depression. Herbal remedies are another time-tested alternative to conventional therapies, providing natural pain relief to sufferers without many of the unwanted side effects of conventional medicines. For the reduction in arthritic pain, Emu oil can be used and people with scarring pain can try vitamin E; these are just two natural pain relief remedies of the many available.

However, herbal treatments do take longer to become effective against the almost immediate effect of conventional pain killers but on the plus side to this there are only natural products used so they cannot harm the body. If the truth be known then one way of even having to avoid natural pain relief is to change the way you life by eating healthier which means cutting back on processed foods but increasing your intake of fruit and vegetables. Many people cut back on the amount of sleep they have which is a mistake as sleep in the correct amounts is a time when the body repairs itself but exercise should not be forgotten either as even walking is a very healthy physical activity.

Meditation has been practiced by human beings for thousands of years. Arguably, animals have been practicing their unique forms of meditation for a lot longer. There are many benefits to meditation, which is one of the reasons for its longevity. The benefits of meditation affect your health, your emotions and, possibly, your powers of self-determination.

Let’s Get Physical

One of the main benefits of meditation is that it helps you learn how to manage your stress. Too much stress is a very unhealthy state to be in. Your body is so keyed up in a flight or fight response that it will not be able to naturally defend itself from illnesses and diseases. Too much stress tends to lead to poor sleeping habits, which negatively impacts on every area of your life because you are exhausted all of the time.

Too much stress also makes you too fat. When the body is under stress, it puts our certain hormones to get the body ready to fight or flee at a moment’s notice. These hormones make the body unable to metabolize food at a normal rate. So, an unstressed person can eat the exact same foods as a stressed person, but won’t gain as much weight as the stressed person. Weight loss and a reduction of cellulite may be other benefits to meditation.

Let’s Get Metaphysical

Doctors are finally admitting that there defiantly is a mind-body connection in regards to health. If you are generally a happy, calm person who does not overreact to every little event in your life, you are generally healthier than if you were completely stressed out. But what good is having great health if your emotions are in turmoil?

Another benefit of meditation is learning how to get a handle on your emotions. You learn to keep focused on the present moment instead of dwelling on the past or brooding over the future. You get the full flavor of the present moment. With practice, you can learn to get into meditative states even in really stressful situations. It is said that Gandhi began to meditate by chanting his mantra as he died.

Getting control of your emotions and your health gives you great self confidence. This shows you that you do have some power over what happens in your life. You are not just a victim of chance events. In this writer’s opinion, that is the best benefit of meditation that you can find.

“The source of innovation is a place of fearlessness. It’s a place of not worrying and trying to force things to happen,” says Gayle Gregory, leadership coach and co-author of The Grand Experiment: An Expedition of Self-Discovery.

Most people are not aware that they have fears, or if they are, don’t know how to over come them. Take the mystery out of unleashing your inner creativity with Gayle.

Below are the strategies to realize your true potential:

1. Be willing to see your fears.

Everyone has fears, fears of not being good enough, of not having the resources you need, of not having the right answer or the power to do what you need to do. Stop and look! Be willing to see which fears are determining your life and keeping you from the source of effortless innovation.

2. Connect with your fears.

Once you’ve recognized your fears, invite them out in the open and study them carefully. Invite them to sit down next to you and really get to know them. They are your step-children and merely require your interest and curiosity. When you face them and stop avoiding them, you’ll find they begin to dissolve. Fear is only powerful when we keep it hidden.

3. Let your potential loose.

As the layers of fear begin to dissolve, you’ll be able to find that place of creativity more and more. Fears are what keep you from reaching that place of clarity, the spring of innovation and flow. A fearless warrior is one who is so committed to reaching that place they won’t let fear hold them back. Inspiration doesn’t have to be rare. It’s meant to be an everyday occurrence.

You’ll be better able to tap into the source of creativity when you put these techinques to work.

One of the misconceptions of Buddhism is that is thought to be a religion in the sense that it worships Buddha as God. Buddha is not worshipped as a God – he is considered a Holy Man whose actions you could model in order to have a fulfilling life and to lessen suffering. Buddhist meditation does not rely on following the Buddha. You can easily take the basic principles of Buddhist meditation and use it in any religion or belief system.

Not The Only Way

The Buddha taught many kinds of meditation, because there are many different kinds of people. And, if none of those ways seemed to work, not to worry about it and find your own form of meditation. The Buddha was not into “my way or the highway” teachings. He often urged his followers to find things out for themselves and to not take the teachings of anyone as Gospel (pardon the pun).

There are many, many kinds of Buddhist meditation – much too many to go over in an article such as this. There are many books, websites and the other articles on this site that can help you find out the details of specific kinds of Buddhist meditation. But do not worry that you have to change your religion – or take up any religion at all – in order to practice Buddhist meditation.

Mindfulness

A word you will bump into over and over again when learning about Buddhist meditation is mindfulness. This means being aware of the present moment and only the present moment. Have you ever seen a child experiencing Christmas for the first time? That sense of wonder and having no expectations is part of mindfulness.

You probably meditate and enter a state of mindfulness without even knowing it. If you have ever been so entranced by whatever is going on, say listening to music or writing an article on Buddhist meditation, then you are meditating. It is getting into that state at will which is tough.

Some people don’t like the confusion that trying to still their minds brings. This is also normal. You just observe it, accept it, and go on. Meditation is akin to watching your mind’s thoughts like watching the waves on the sea – they rise, swell, crash, and then are absorbed back into the sea.

Many benefits of meditation is learning self-confidence, learning how to manage your stress and to pay attention to what is going on around you. That is why anyone of any religion should practice Buddhist meditation.

There is a trend today to embrace alternate healing therapies instead of conventional ones. Mainstream medical treatment and alternative or complimentary therapy has become part of integrated treatment and today there is some very high quality scientific verification in safety and efficacy aspects. The alternative therapies are known to provide certain types of services that aren’t available within conventional medicine. There could be a whole lot of alternative therapies that you have access to like faith healing, traditional folk medicine, homeopathy, naturopathy and the like. All of these therapies are being used instead of the conventional means of medical treatment in relationship to a belief that they are going to be able to have a curative effect on the disease.

Quality of life and general health improves with alternative health therapies. Reducing stress, tension, sleeplessness, anxiety, depression and making you feel more relaxed. They can even help to reduce the symptoms of cancer, such as pain, feeling sick, breathlessness, constipation, diarrhea, tiredness and poor appetite as well as help to moderate some of the side effects of traditional cancer treatment.

A combination of alternative health therapies and conventional medicine has been noticed to be very effective in alleviating pain, even when there is a serious condition. Some cancer support groups for example, offer these therapies for free or make a small charge and some hospitals and hospices provide as part of cancer care, alongside conventional cancer treatments such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Many cancer patients currently use alternate therapy to manage and sustain themselves through the difficult cancer treatments. These therapies are very valuable in that they identify and support spiritual and emotional characteristics and physical features, but they should not be used as the only alternative line of treatment.

More than billion is spent by the Americans annually on vitamins and herbs which are alternative health products. The recent studies that were conducted by Phillips, Tindle, Eisenberg and Davis, reflected that there was roughly seventy two million adults within the United States that use alternative and complementary therapies. The studies conducted by Herman, Craig and Caspi in 2005 also show an out of pocket spend of about billion annually on these therapies.

However there is no specific alternative health therapy that is more effective than the other, you will only be able to determine which treatment would suit you and which one is effective only by the trial and error method. Individual therapies like massage, meditation, acupuncture, homeopathy, aromatherapy, hypnotherapy, reflexology and reiki are proved to be very helpful for some people in improving their life. Before you consider any of the alternative therapies that are available, it is always a very good idea to consult with your physician, it is also important that you double check that any treatment that you take in addition isn’t going to adversely affect any of the current treatment programs that you are on.

In case you are thinking of using any alternative health therapy along with your contemporary medication then you must talk to you doctor and find about the pros and cons that are related. Do not neglect any important aspects that need to be discussed. Before considering and deciding on this option, you should first check with your doctor on whether or not the treatment is available at your hospital or clinic. Many doctors are getting convinced that complementary medicine still has its own place in the society. They would also be able to recommend specific therapies and treatments which would suit. For many today, alternative therapies are helping them cope and manage the effects of conventional treatment by the reduction in the feeling of anxiety and feeling the return of a certain control of their own lives.

Management Techniques and Skills

by Dan Aikerman

Management Techniques and Skills

Since anger issues affect individuals from childhood to adulthood, obviously it is necessary to teach anger management skills that work for every age group. There are many, many positive techniques and skills related to anger management. For the person who is dealing daily with anger problems, it is important to learn skills that will be effective in coping. Since anger management seems to affect so many people in society, it is imperative to design and create techniques, teach skills, provide counseling and provide appropriate care and support.

Acupressure and Emotional Freedom Techniques

Acupressure is one skill that tends to help people deal with negative emotions. This technique used as an anger management skill is achieved by tapping or rubbing the body. When feeling tense and upset one can use this skill, to briskly massage the body and cause an individual’s energy to move around their body which results in relaxation. An anger management skill or technique known as the Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT can be combined with acupressure to fight against negative emotions. Practicing EFT helps an individual admit to their problem and find forgiveness which tends to balance the brain hemispheres. As a tool to release feelings of anger and promote relaxation, this anger management skill would be very beneficial.

Keep a Journal

Adopting positive anger management skills might involve keeping a journal. When an individual writes about the situations which upset them, it helps to get the negative thoughts and emotions out of their head. By journaling about feelings and emotions, a person is able to rid their minds of unhealthy thinking and put them on paper. This anger management activity would provide specific details and perhaps triggers which usually set the individual off. Being able to read and review reactions to situations, a person might be capable of making changes in their behavior.

Avoidance

If a person realizes they have difficulties controlling their temper, they might consider staying away from situations which may cause heated arguments. If a person has a regular pattern of lashing out during specific conversations, they ought to avoid those incidents. Some people who have anger issues seem to go looking for a reason to get upset. If aiming to adopt anger management skills, these people should attempt to change this way of thinking. Instead of going to the problem, they ought to run from the problem. Removing themselves from a threatening situation might eliminate the problem. When considering anger management skills, there’s one which is quite easy to adopt.

Adopting anger management skills that work is definitely an essential step when striving to cope with feelings of rage and anger. There are many suggestions and recommendations offered on Internet sites related to anger management skills. It would certainly help to visit these sites and read the information and advice. It is unreasonable to think that a person will use all of the anger management skills suggested. However finding one that works may mean trying each of them at least once. When an individual is attempting to gain control and eliminate the negative feelings normally dictating their life, exploring anger management skills is necessary to find a technique or skill which works for them.

Chakra meditation is a special type of focus on certain points in the human body. There are seven points in the body that are called Chakras by the proponents of this type of meditation. The seven points of Chakra meditation run from the tip of the head to the groin area of the human body. The aim of Chakra meditation is to discover these points in the body. This type of meditation can be done in a sitting position or lying down. It is important to find a very quiet place so the focus in each session is complete. Most people who practice Chakra meditation begin with simple breathing exercises to relax the body and mind.

After a few minutes of relaxed breathing, those practicing Chakra meditation will begin focusing on the seven important points in this type of meditation. In Chakra meditation, the main energy point is located in the spine. This point is in an area of the body located near the kidneys, bladder and reproductive organs. Concentrating on this point should have an influence on these important bodily functions. This Chakra has an influence on the sex drive, improved taste and analytic skills according to the proponents of this type of meditation.

Chakra Meditation Focuses The Energy On Vital Functions

Another Chakra point is at the lower abdomen. This point is located in the area of the body near the organs responsible for ridding the body of wastes. Another Chakra is located near the navel and the digestive organs of the human body. Those knowledgeable about this type of meditation believe that a focus on this area can strengthen self-confidence and healthy digestion. An important Chakra is also located in the upper torso. This Chakra is important to the cardiovascular system including the heart. Appropriate focus on this area strengthens relationships including the affairs of the heart.

At the base of the scalp, a Chakra is located that brings improved vitality to the brain. Concentration on this point is good for enlightened thought and commendable behavior. A point located at the top of the spinal chord is important for wisdom and intuition. Other Chakras are located at other points in the spine. If the Chakras are adversely affected, the body will suffer according to those who practice Chakra meditation. Some of the problems that can be linked to afflicted Chakras include constipation, abnormal ambition, greed and depression. Many of the people who practice Chakra meditation find great comfort and vitality from their sessions.

When we talk about the concept of altering consciousness, what do we actually mean? Do we mean improving our memory? Is it increasing our IQ or improving our sleep? Are we discussing becoming psychic or clairvoyant, or reaching a deeper meditation state? Or do we simply want to be able to stop yelling at our children? Now as I see it, altering consciousness is all of this and much, much more. It is shifting the very way we think, see the world, live our lives, and exist on this planet.

If all of this is sounding very new-agey, that’s because it is.

For instance, when I speak of this you probably think of Echart Tolle and THE POWER OF NOW or A NEW EARTH. I bet you also consider THE SECRET and manifesting your dreams. You may think of an life-shifting course called The Landmark Forum. But you also may consider time-honored things like Yoga, meditation, Buddhism, and karma. I’ll bet some of you even bring to mind various world religions or even Christianity. I know when I think of ways to alter consciousness, I think of timeless quotes like “There but for the Grace of God Go I” and “Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. ”

And as people ponder all of this, they sometimes realize one profound thing… the idea of altering consciousness is not so very new.

The human race has wanted to alter its consciousness for thousands of years. We have even had some brilliant ideas of what direction to alter it to- living on this earth in peace and harmony, for instance- or having tolerance for others, good judgment, and an abundance of love- or helping people instead of harming them. In short we have had the wonderful idea that all beings should live their lives in joy and happiness, with their needs met and a high level of satisfaction in life. They should do this-and humans have believed this almost without exception.

No my friends, these are not new ideas. But what is new here is the idea, the concept, the glimmer of a thought that we could actually do it There is an arising awareness, sweeping the planet like a brush-fire, that it is within our reach as human beings to live our lives in peace and harmony with each other, as well as with a high level of life fulfillment for all. Now notice I never said people thought this was probable, nor that it was an assured. I only said there is an awareness that it is possible. And that in itself is a huge breakthrough for mankind- as this idea has never occurred in masses of the population before.

The question is, what will we do first? Will we kill ourselves off? Or will we actualize this possibility?

Well I’m an optimist. I’m looking to beat the clock on this issue. So in future articles I will help you explore various ways to alter consciousness, both for yourself and for the world at large. Some of the ways I will offer you are as old as Methusula. They may take practice, but they definitely work. Others, like brain entrainment, are new and purported to work quickly and with ease. So stay tuned as we explore a whole new look at some very old ideas. Namaste and peace to you and yours.

Many believe that meditation is only a part of eastern religions like Buddhism or Hinduism, but communion meditation is part of the Christian religion as well. Some they may be surprised to learn that meditation is part of the Christian practice. The idea of meditation may seem so aligned with other religions that its purpose in the Christian faith may be overlooked.

You Get Me Closer To God

Communion meditation is a vital part of many religions; a time for reflection and spiritual awareness. In any religion, the part that meditation plays is one where a person meditates in order to become closer on a spiritual level with their community and God.

Some religions incorporate motion with meditation, like bowing down in unison or by using beads. There are many religions that use prayers beads in which a prayer is said over each bead and they are moved through out your hands as you pray. For Catholics this is done through the saying of the Rosary which is very important and instrumental in the faith. This form of repetition and prayer is a way to achieve a higher level of mind that is a form of meditation.

Communion meditation is associated with Christianity and the ritual of communion. Communion is when the community within a church participates in a ceremony that represents Jesus Christ and the sacrifice that he made by being crucified. Christians believe this sacrifice made by the son of God ensures them of an afterlife with the Lord and their savior Jesus Christ. Communion is a representation of this sacrifice and the importance of first Jesus’ crucification and then his revival after three days.

Communion meditation occurs when the congregation begins the ceremony of communion. While the congregation is partaking of communion, there are moments where meditation is encouraged. Individuals are told to think about the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ and the impact on their own lives. Many feel this communion meditation time allows them to become closer to God and feel a spiritual high when they participate in communion meditation.

Often, this is also a time when scripture is read and the congregation then spends time reflecting on the message within the scripture. This is again a time for communion meditation. This time is one where the individual takes in the scripture and processes the importance of the scripture and the impact with which it affects their lives.

Communion meditation is an important aspect of the Christian faith that helps to unite the community and bring them closer in their worship of God.
